A Day on Maria

This day tour is a new tour and commences November 2011

This day tour combines a 45 minute ferry trip across the Mercury Passage from Triabunna to Darlington, Maria Island with a guided tour of the islands history, flora and fauna.

You’ll encounter wildlife such as Forester Kangaroos, Pademelons, Cape Barren Geese, Wombats, Native Hens and Fairy Penguins.

You’ll see where and how the convicts lived before the establishment of Port Arthur. You’ll visit the Painted Cliffs, Fossil Cliffs, Oust House and the 1st cement works and kilns plu more.\

$139.00 from Hobart or $25.00 if joining from Darlington on Maria Island.
